Bangladesh High Commission warns of fraud in recruitment of workers in Malaysia
The Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur has found evidence of widespread fraud by an organized group in sending workers from Bangladesh to the Malaysian province of Sabah. The High Commission has warned Bangladeshis wishing to go to the Southeast Asian country not to fall into the trap of these unscrupulous groups.

The Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur published a warning notice on its Facebook page on Friday. The notice said that an organized fraudster group is collecting passports and cash from Bangladeshis wishing to go to the Malaysian province of Sabah by promising to send workers there. The matter has come to the notice of the Bangladesh High Commission.
The notice also said that the Bangladesh government currently has no agreement or understanding with the Malaysian government to take workers from Bangladesh to the Malaysian province of Sabah. Apart from this, no decision has been received from the Sabah provincial authorities to recruit Bangladeshi workers. Discussions are underway with the relevant authorities in this regard.
Therefore, until an agreement or memorandum of understanding is signed between the Sabah Province and the Bangladesh government regarding the recruitment of workers, it has been requested not to be misled by the false propaganda of such fraudulent groups and to refrain from any kind of transaction with them.
The notice also stated that if permission is given to recruit Bangladeshi workers, it will be informed to everyone through the website of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
